Please read these terms carefully. They outline our commitments to you and the standards we uphold in our heritage restoration work.
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of all services by Heritage Cupola Company Edinburgh ("the Company", "we", "us") to the client ("the Client", "you"). By accepting a quotation or authorising work to commence, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full.
All quotations provided are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue. Prices are based on the visual inspection and information available at the time. Should unforeseen structural issues arise once works commence (particularly common in heritage architecture), these will be documented and quoted separately before proceeding.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a deposit of 30% is required prior to the commencement of any work to secure scheduling and materials. The remaining balance is strictly due within 14 days of project completion and the issuance of the final invoice. Late payments may incur statutory interest charges.
The scope of work is strictly limited to the details outlined in the accepted quotation. Any alterations, additions, or variations requested by the Client must be agreed upon in writing. We reserve the right to adjust the project timeline and costs accordingly to accommodate these variations.
We pride ourselves on conservation-led craftsmanship. All new cupolas and full restoration works are accompanied by a specific written guarantee, typically ranging from 5 to 10 years depending on the materials used. This guarantee covers our workmanship and materials but excludes damage caused by extreme weather events, third-party interference, or lack of standard maintenance.
The Company holds full public and employer liability insurance. While we take every precaution to protect your property during works, we are not liable for pre-existing structural weaknesses that may become apparent during the restoration process. It is the Client's responsibility to remove or protect internal valuables directly beneath the working area.
These Terms and Conditions, and any agreements made under them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of Scotland. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
